Wei Huang, a leading Chinese lawyer based in Beijing and Washington, D.C., heads Mei & Mark LLP's Chinese Government Relations Practice group, serving U.S. companies doing business in China. Mr. Huang is also a partner at a top Chinese law firm, Tian Yuan Law Firm, where his practice includes Banking and Project Finance, Asset Management, Intellectual Property and Dispute Resolution.
Specifically, Mr. Huang will coordinate Mei & Mark LLP's efforts in China to improve predictability in Chinese litigation and dispute resolution and improve transparency in the decision-making process for our U.S. clients. For example, when necessary, Mei & Mark LLP will arrange for its U.S. clients to meet with appropriate Chinese government agencies and highlight the importance of transparency and neutrality in the decision-making process.
In 2006, the United States Department of State invited Mr. Huang to participate in its International Visitor Leadership Program. In 2008, he was awarded a Hubert H. Humphrey Fellowship from the Fulbright Scholar Program to study U.S. laws at the American University Washington College of Law.
Previously, Mr. Huang was a partner of Fujian Xu Feng Law Firm, and was honored as a "Top Lawyer" in Fujian Province three times and as one of the "Top 10 Lawyers." He also worked as an International Lawyer at the International Anti-Counterfeiting Coalition and the law firm of Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP in Washington, D.C.
